Today, on July 1, reports have spread on social networks that the Uchtepa district's Uzixzor “Stroy Gorod” construction market in Tashkent city was illegally disconnected from the electricity grid.

The authorities have issued an official statement regarding this incident.

It has been revealed that the trade buildings and rooms of this market grossly violated fire safety requirements. Therefore, based on the decision of the Tashkent inter-district economic court dated June 13, 2025, the operation of the market owned by “OZIQ-OVQAT STANDARD KARTON” LLC has been temporarily halted.

Starting from June 27, the market's activities have been completely halted, a decision carried out by the Tashkent city Emergency Situations Department.

The purpose is to ensure the safety of citizens until the identified fire safety shortcomings are fully eliminated.
