Yesterday, June 24, Russian forces launched another missile strike on Ukraine. In Dnipro, at least 9 people died, and in the city of Samara in the Dnipropetrovsk region, another two people were killed. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Sergiy Lysak.

“As a result of the enemy's attack in Dnipro, 9 people died. In Samara, the Russians killed another two persons. The number of injured is also constantly increasing. Currently, this figure has exceeded a hundred,” he wrote.

He also highlighted that among the victims, there are at least ten children.

By the evening, the number of those killed by the Russian missile attack had reached 17, with about 279 people injured. According to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service's information in Dnipro and the region, civilian infrastructure – a dormitory, a gymnasium, and an administrative building – was seriously damaged.

“Furthermore, a train was damaged, and its passengers were injured,” the report states.

“Ukrzaliznytsia” also confirmed that a passenger train suffered damage from the explosion wave during Russia's missile attack on the eastern region of Ukraine.

“As a result of the terrorist act organized by Russia in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the No. 52 “Odessa – Zaporizhzhia” train was damaged,” the company statement says.

“Ukrzaliznytsia” is preparing a substitute train set for transporting passengers and delivering them to Zaporizhzhia. Later, the railway company determined that “there were no victims among the train passengers or railway workers” during this attack and its consequences. However, the number of injured was not specified.

Let us remind you, overnight into June 24, a major attack organized by Russian drones in the Verkhniosyrova neighborhood of the Sumy region resulted in at least three people being killed: a man, a woman, and an eight-year-old child. Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, continuing for over four years, has launched new strikes on the neighboring country using 97 "Shahed" type attack drones last night.
