A large fire broke out in the fir forests of the Boysun district in the Surkhandarya region. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported this.
It was noted that on June 17, at 17:45, the FEM (Fire Emergency Management) received a report about the burning of dry grass in areas adjacent to the fir forests under the Boysun district Kengdala forestry.
Based on the report, fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene.
To extinguish the fire, the region's FEM deployed 85 personnel, 4 pieces of equipment, the Forestry Department dispatched 40 workers, 4 pieces of equipment, the Internal Affairs Department dispatched 6 personnel, the Ministry of Defense provided 20 military servicemen and one military helicopter, and 40 volunteers from the local community were involved.
Additionally, unmanned aerial vehicles from the Border Troops were used to monitor the fire's epicenter during the operation.
Thanks to the concerted efforts of the relevant services and volunteers, a 3-hectare fire was extinguished on June 18 at 07:10, preventing it from spreading to wider areas.
