Israeli fighter jets carried out airstrikes on the night of June 15 on Tehran's Shahron oil storage base and the building of Iran's Ministry of Defense, reports the Tasnim agency.
The target of the attack was the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense. According to the agency's reporter, one of the ministry's office buildings was slightly damaged.
Additionally, as a result of the Israeli attack, a fire broke out at Tehran's main fuel depot – the Shahron oil depot, writes The New York Times. According to a witness speaking to the publication, the explosion resembled an earthquake.
According to the Tasnim publication, the attack on the oil depot resulted in two fuel storage tanks being burned. According to the Iran's Ministry of Oil, rescuers have brought the fire under control, and there is no danger to civilians.
There were also reports of a fire at Tehran's oil refinery, but the Iranian government denied this.
