It is reported that a teacher at school number 35 in Kukdala district, Kashkadarya region, attempted to sell the answers to the exam in the Uzbek language and literature to graduates.
One of the students, a witness to the incident in the classroom, is reporting this through a video posted on his YouTube page here.
However, the video does not mention the sale of the actual test answers. The teacher stated the price for six sheets was 5,000 Uzbekistani Som.
“No, I'll deliver it to the photocopier, it's not mine, it was prepared, he's buying it around the city center, I also bought it. To be honest, what's the need? I said, 'if I can't sell it, I will bring back the money,' and they agreed,” – he said.
Kun.uz contacted the video author to clarify the situation, who said the incident took place during the Uzbek language and literature exam on May 28. “Then, the teacher sold the exam answers to the students,” – he said.
The editorial staff had informed the Ministry of Preschool and School Education about the situation. Accordingly, the ministry's Kashkadarya regional department announced the start of investigations on June 9. here.
In response to the situation, the Kashkadarya Regional Department of Preschool and School Education officially made a statement.
According to it, indeed, such an incident occurred during the Uzbek language and literature exam on May 28 this year. Before the start of the state exam, the teacher showed the 11th-grade graduates copies of the answers to the exam questions as an example, recommending them to prepare better for the exam and strengthen their knowledge.
“He mentioned that these answers could be bought for 5,000 Som each from a computer service provider, if they wished,” – says the statement.
It is noted that based on the identified shortcomings, disciplinary measures were taken against the school director. The teacher featured in the video was dismissed for acting independently.
