Today, May 28th, three asteroids classified as potentially dangerous are expected to fly past Earth. According to a report by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), these celestial bodies do not pose a threat to our planet. This was reported by zamon.uz here.
According to the information, the objects approaching from the Solar System are as follows:
2025 KVT – diameter 29.7 meters
2025 JR – diameter 79.5 meters
2025 KU1 – diameter 20.2 meters
NASA classifies these asteroids as "potentially dangerous" due to their size and proximity to Earth. However, they do not pose a risk of collision with our planet.
Also, on May 26–27, the asteroids 2025 KT1 (12.8 m) and 2025 JP (25.3 m) also passed close to Earth.
Experts emphasize that the majority of such asteroids burn up upon entering the atmosphere and do not pose a real threat.
NASA identifies more than 3,000 new asteroids near Earth every year. These objects are considered part of the asteroid belt formed approximately 4.6 billion years ago during the formation of the Solar System.
According to NASA's forecasts, there is no risk of a dangerous asteroid collision with Earth in the next 100 years.
