Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Azimboy Sa'dullaev passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 78 passed away. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences  sent.

A.Sa'dullaev was born on January 9, 1947, in the Shovot district of the Khorezm region. He graduated from Moscow State University in 1969 with a degree in mathematics. He studied at the graduate school of this university, where he first defended his candidate and then his doctoral dissertation. In 1989, he was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and in 1995, a full member.

A.Sa'dullaev, during his 55 years of labor activity, held responsible positions such as a teacher, associate professor, head of the department, dean of the faculty at Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan), senior researcher at the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, rector of Urgench State University, president of the Khorezm Ma'mun Academy, and demonstrated his high scientific-pedagogical and managerial potential.

The scientific works of the famous mathematician are recognized by our country and the international scientific community. In particular, his foundation of a new direction in the theory of complex potentials in collaboration with US scientists is well known in the scientific world, and this development is widely applied in practice today.

The talented scientist’s more than 200 scientific articles and 15 monographs extensively research many urgent issues in the field of mathematics.

As a caring and demanding mentor, Academician A.Sa'dullaev educated many young people. Under his leadership, dozens of Doctors of Science and Candidates of Science were prepared.

A.Sa'dullaev, as a deputy of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 1995 to 2004, carried out effective work in drafting and adopting legislative documents, and showed bravery in improving the mechanisms of parliamentary control.

The services of Academician A.Sa'dullaev to the development of science and education in our country were duly awarded by our state, and he was awarded the “Order of Labor Glory” in 2020.

The memory of the distinguished scientist, a compassionate mentor, and a humble person Azimboy Sa'dullaev will always be kept in our hearts.
