In Germany, international students can have the opportunity to study at Harvard University. This proposal was put forward by the Minister of Culture of the Federal Republic of Germany, Wolfram Weimer.
According to him, a prestigious US university could establish a "campus in exile" within the country.
This proposal was put forward after the Donald Trump administration banned the admission of foreign students to Harvard in the US. The Minister emphasized Germany's commitment to the principles of freedom of speech and the press, quality education, and openness.
"We believe in art and freedom of speech, open discussion and diversity. Students from Harvard and other American universities are welcomed in Germany," Weimer said in an interview with Bloomberg.
