Rabbimqul Muhammadiyev, the imam-khatib of Rakat Friday mosque in Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent city, who was leading the pilgrims during this year's Hajj season, has passed away. This was announced on the mosque's Telegram channel.
It is noted that the Imam fell ill in Medina, fell into a coma, and died this morning, May 26.
"Today in Medina, after his illness, he presented his trust to my Lord. He was a knowledgeable person who acted upon his knowledge. May He grant patience to his loved ones, students, and family members," the statement said.
The exact cause of the imam's death is not yet known.
For information, Rabbimqul Muhammadiyev had been the imam-khatib of the Rakat Mosque since 2019. Prior to this, he served as an imam-khatib at the Imam Termizi Mosque in Almazar.
