The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Davron Vakhobov, led a delegation of our country's business community representatives on a trip to Kabul, where the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan business forum and "B2B" meetings were organized, reports the "Dunya" IA correspondent.
During the opening ceremony of the forum, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan, Ahmadulah Zahid, spoke highly of the foreign policy of the President of Uzbekistan towards Afghanistan, the cooperation and efforts to support the Afghan people in every way on the international stage. He also acknowledged the opening of the "Termez International Trade Center", and the "Uzbekistan Trade Houses" in Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif cities, emphasizing the importance of both countries' business representatives effectively using the opportunities of these sectors.
In turn, the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Davron Vakhobov highlighted the significant increase in trade volume between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan over the past years due to the efforts of our countries' governments.
The head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investments, Muhammad Yunus Momand, specifically pointed out the active development of trade-economic relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, and expressed gratitude to the leadership of Uzbekistan for the privileges provided to Afghan entrepreneurs.
After the official event, a business forum and "B2B" meetings with the participation of 96 Uzbek and 110 Afghan entrepreneurs were organized. During the dialogue, the prospects for implementing joint projects in the areas of food, electrical products, and construction materials were discussed.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, 16 agreements worth a total of 45 million US dollars were signed between the entrepreneurs and companies of the two countries.
