The Tashkent City Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change conducted another raid against the illegal dumping of waste in unauthorized areas.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Ecology, during the raid carried out on March 12, 16 violations related to waste dumping were identified within the capital's territory in just one day. An administrative protocol was drawn up against the violators in accordance with Article 91 prime 1-part 1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code, and a total fine of 11 million 375 thousand UZS was imposed.
For information, according to Article 91 prime 1-part 1 of the Administrative Code, dumping solid household and construction waste, as well as the disposal of liquid household waste in unauthorized areas, can lead to fines ranging from 1 to 3 times the basic calculation amount (375 000 — 1 125 000 UZS) for citizens, and from 10 to 20 times (3 750 000 — 7 500 000 UZS) for officials.
If the same violation occurs again within a year after the imposition of an administrative penalty, citizens can be fined from 5 to 10 times the basic calculation amount (1 875 000 — 3 500 000 UZS), and officials from 20 to 30 times (7 500 000 — 11 250 000 UZS).
