In Uzbekistan, the recycling fee for electric vehicles has been increased to 78 million som.

The regulation will come into effect from May 1, 2025.

From May 1, 2025, a recycling fee for electric vehicles will be imposed ranging from 45 million to 78.7 million UZS. A government decision was announced on this matter. 

According to the decision:  

- For electric vehicles less than 3 years old, the fee is 120 BHM (45 million UZS);

- For electric vehicles older than 3 years — 210 BHM (78.75 million UZS).

The Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade will develop a mechanism for collecting these fees and ensuring their effective distribution within 2 months.
