Previously, US President Joe Biden had pardoned his son Hunter. Charges were brought against Hunter Biden in December 2023. According to the indictment prepared by prosecutor David Weiss, the younger Biden had failed to pay at least $1.4 million in taxes from 2016 to 2019.
