In our country, as technological progress and industrial production grow at an accelerated rate, the issue of training engineering personnel is becoming increasingly important.
Russia's "MISIS" Science and Technology University has been preparing engineering personnel for the main sectors of the economy's industrial sector for more than 30 years. The opening of this university's branch in the city of Olmaliq, Tashkent region, in 2018 has elevated the collaboration to a new level.
In particular, according to the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in 2018, the branch admitted students in three educational directions: "Mining," "Metallurgy," and "Automation of technological processes."
Last year, 2023, upon the demand of the branch's "business partners," licenses for "Information Technologies" and "Economics" educational directions were obtained from State Education Quality Control.
According to the decision of State Education Quality Control, the Olmaliq branch of the "MISIS" Science and Technology University received a license for the "Electrical Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering" education direction.
The process of obtaining licenses from State Education Quality Control, ranging from the conditions in the students' town to determining the preparation level of professors and teachers, required more than a year of hard work. Every aspect was studied by a special commission. The branch submitted the documents in February 2023, and the license was granted only by August 2024.
Now the Branch will train future international-level energy professionals! Admission of applicants is planned for the next 2025/2026 academic year.
Additionally, with the decision of the presidents of the two countries, an Advanced Engineering School (AES) will be established based on the Olmaliq branch of the MISIS Science and Technology University. The educational process in AES will be carried out based on master's degree programs in the relevant educational direction.
The admission of prospective students to AES will also commence from the 2025/2026 academic year.
