From March 1, 2025 onwards pensions for citizens of a certain age will be assigned automatically (without an application). This was reported by the press service of the Pension Fund.
The implementation of information technologies into the pension provision system is being carried out step by step, turning the services provided to citizens into an interactive and proactive form.
Specifically:
From January 1, 2024, the following were implemented:
citizens were given the right to apply for a pension either by visiting the State Services Center in addition or online through the Unified Interactive Public Services Portal (UIPSP).
Also, starting from March 1, 2025: onwards:
- pensions for citizens who have reached the pension age will be appointed “automatically”, i.e., without any documents required and without the need for an application from the citizen;
- all personal information of the citizen will be taken from the electronic databases of ministries and departments.
As a result of the introduction of these conveniences:
Firstly, there will be no need for citizens to collect additional documents for the assignment of pensions by applying to the regional offices of the Pension Fund.
Secondly, when a decision is made to appoint a pension within the scope of the legal requirements for a citizen who has reached pension age, information about "the appointment of the pension and its amount" will be sent to his/her phone number.
Furthermore, citizens who wish to continue working without retiring or who are dissatisfied with the amount of the pension are given the right to refuse the “automatically” appointed pension.
In case a citizen is dissatisfied with the appointment of the pension, the amount of the pension, or the refusal to appoint the pension, he/she may apply to the district (city) branch of the Pension Fund in accordance with the established procedure.
