In a swift operation conducted in cooperation with the DXX and customs authorities, a large quantity of narcotic drugs was seized from illicit circulation.
During the operation, a Lacetti car traveling on the "Surkhandarya–Bukhara" route was stopped and inspected in the Kogon district. During the inspection, approximately 1 kg of opium was found hidden under the air filter in the engine compartment of the vehicle.
Investigations revealed that this substance was obtained from a person living in the Termiz district, who is engaged in international cargo transportation. In a subsequent operation, he was also apprehended, and 5 kg of opium was found on him, with another 7 kg found at his residence.
