A fire at a historic church in Astoria resulted in over 250 firefighters being deployed and partial collapses of the building were recorded.
According to CBS News, the fire started in the evening and quickly intensified, turning into a high-level blaze. The fire began in a building in the church courtyard and spread to the main historic structure.
As a result, part of the roof collapsed, and nearby residents were evacuated for safety. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and an investigation is ongoing.
