Despite the news circulating on social networks, according to the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, the price of natural gas has not been increased since March 1. Payments will be made based on the old tariffs.
At the same time, the established social consumption norm for the winter season has changed. For the months of November–February, a base norm of up to 500 cubic meters per month is set, and for March–October, a base norm of up to 100 cubic meters per month. In Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, the same norm applies for October–February.
According to the President's decree, needy families will receive compensation for electricity and natural gas every month throughout the year. For example:
Electricity: compensation for up to 150 kW/h for the portion consumed over 200 kW/h per month;
Natural gas: for the portion consumed over the base norm of up to 250 cubic meters in winter months and up to 150 cubic meters in other months.
