In 2025, meat imports to Uzbekistan sharply increased.

Last year, imports of beef, mutton, and chicken to Uzbekistan increased noticeably. This was reported by the Customs Committee.

According to information, during 2025, 156.9 thousand tons of beef were imported into the country, with the import volume amounting to 661.2 million dollars. This indicator is almost 63 thousand tons more compared to 2024. One kilogram of beef cost an average of 4.2 dollars.

Similarly, mutton imports increased almost 2.5 times, reaching 33 thousand tons. Chicken meat purchases also increased, amounting to 64.9 thousand tons.

It is noted that in 2025, the price of beef in the country increased by 23.9 percent, and mutton by 26.8 percent. For 2026, plans have been made to bring in 100 thousand head of cattle and 200 thousand head of sheep and goats from abroad.
