A severe road traffic accident occurred in the Syrdarya region when a car carrying four passengers fell into a canal. As a result of the tragedy, all passengers died, while the driver survived.
It is reported that the incident occurred on December 26 of this year at approximately 21:30. The driver, born in 2001, had picked up four acquaintances from a stadium after a football game and was taking them home. On the way, he lost control of the vehicle, and the car, along with the passengers, fell into a canal.
The driver managed to get out of the sinking car and was hospitalized. The four passengers, aged 19–20, died. It is said they were from the same neighborhood.
Regarding this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 3, paragraph "a" of Article 266 of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being carried out.
