The major fire that occurred at the "Sokin Keksalar" nursing home on Sulawesi Island claimed the lives of at least 16 people.
The fire occurred on the night of December 28 and was later extinguished. The causes of the fire have not yet been determined. Local police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Video footage shows that during the fire, residents of the building, mainly elderly people, were trapped inside.
Additionally, three more people were hospitalized with burns of varying severity. Fire services were promptly called to the scene.
