In accordance with Decree No. 257 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a consecutive five-day holiday for citizens will be provided at the beginning of 2026 on the occasion of the New Year holiday. The decision allows the population to celebrate the holiday within the family circle and have a quality rest.

According to the decree, December 31 is designated as an additional day off. January 1 is the New Year holiday, and January 2 is also considered an additional day off. January 3 (Saturday) will be a regular day off for those with a five-day work week and an additional day off for those with a six-day work week.

January 4 (Sunday) is designated as a regular day off for all employees, resulting in the creation of an opportunity for the population to have a consecutive 5-day rest period.
