In the Tashkent region, individuals who introduced themselves as employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and engaged in extortion, as well as a gambling den, were identified. The regional Department of Internal Affairs reported on this.

It is noted that in November of this year, in the city of Chirchik, two individuals introduced themselves to citizen R.Kh. as employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, threatening him with criminal charges and informing his workplace. They forced their way into the citizen's residence and demanded money from him.

They first took 2.5 million soums via bank card and his mobile phone from the victim, and later managed to get $200 in exchange for returning it. After that, they threatened to distribute personal videos from his phone and demanded another 20 million soums.

As a result of a rapid operation, two individuals born in 2003 were caught red-handed while receiving the agreed-upon 10 million soums from the citizen.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under the relevant article of the Criminal Code, and a custodial restraint measure has been applied against the suspects.

In another incident, in the Yukori Chirchik district, individuals who organized cockfighting games based on monetary bets were identified. From the scene, 9 fighting cocks, monetary funds, and an electronic timer were seized as material evidence.

Administrative measures were taken against 130 individuals who placed bets on the game, while a criminal case was initiated against the 3 individuals who organized it. The suspects were taken into custody in accordance with procedural rules, the report states.
