On the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for an official visit to this country on December 18.
According to the visit program, a number of high-level meetings and events are planned in Tokyo.
The focus will be on further developing and expanding Uzbekistan-Japan strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation.
The President of Uzbekistan will also participate in the first summit of heads of state of the "Central Asia + Japan" dialogue.
