In the West Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan, three men were found frozen to death on December 15 due to extremely cold temperatures. They died from hypothermia (extremely low body temperature).

Due to adverse weather conditions, traffic restrictions were imposed in the capital city of Astana. In particular, starting from 14:00 on December 15, movement for all types of vehicles was restricted on the main highway routes exiting the city of Astana.
