In India, a taxi driver burned his girlfriend alive after she pressured him by demanding a marriage proposal. This was reported by "The Times of India".

According to the publication, police arrested a 33-year-old man in Maharashtra state for killing his 26-year-old girlfriend. On November 26 of this year, when the woman did not return home, a relative contacted the police.

It was determined that on that day, the woman had taken her son to school and then met with her boyfriend, who was a taxi driver. The man promised to take her to his native village, but instead took her outside the city, strangled her, and beat her with an iron pipe. He then siphoned petrol from his car and set the woman on fire. On November 27, police found the woman's partially burned body.

Initially, the suspect claimed he had no connection to the crime, but after prolonged interrogation, he admitted to having been in a relationship with the victim for several years and that the woman had demanded he marry her. The man, who had previously married another woman, decided to end the relationship and said he killed her to get rid of her completely.
