The ceremony was attended by the ambassadors of Greece, Indonesia, Latvia, France, Russia, Japan, and Tajikistan.
The President wished the new leaders success in their missions and emphasized the increasing importance of diplomatic cooperation in the current complex geopolitical situation.
Uzbekistan's foreign policy achievements were noted
The Head of State noted the profound reforms implemented in the country in recent years and its growing international influence:
13 resolutions of the UN General Assembly have been adopted;
Uzbekistan has risen by 19 positions in the Sustainable Development Index;
The poverty rate has decreased from 35 percent to 6.6 percent;
Foreign trade turnover exceeded $66 billion for the first time;
A visa-free regime has been introduced for 100 countries.
Bilateral relations with each country were discussed
Greece. Trade volume has increased fivefold. Cooperation is expanding in the fields of energy, pharmaceuticals, IT, and transport. The Intergovernmental Commission and business forum to be held in Tashkent are of great importance.
Indonesia. Trade turnover has increased by 60 percent. Direct flights will be launched in December. Political consultations and business forums will be held next year.
Latvia. Exports and the number of joint ventures have tripled. Issues of a migration agreement and increasing the number of flights were discussed.
France. Relations have been elevated to the level of strategic partnership. Projects worth $10 billion have been agreed upon. A joint university has begun its activities. The first meeting of the investment council will be held next year.
Russia. Within the framework of strategic partnership, the trade volume has approached $12 billion. More than 3,000 joint ventures are operating. The need to intensify interregional ties was emphasized.
Japan. Joint projects worth $8 billion are being implemented. Uzbekistan's National Day was held as part of "Expo-2025". High-level talks will be held in Tokyo next month.
Tajikistan. Relations have been elevated to the level of alliance. Trade volume has increased fivefold, approaching $1 billion. It was noted that cross-border trade zones will further increase the exchange of goods.

The President asked the ambassadors to actively cooperate with business circles, regions, and the private sector. The diplomats, in turn, expressed gratitude for the creation of conditions for open and effective activities in our country and emphasized their readiness to further develop multifaceted relations with Uzbekistan.
