The second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council was held at the Kuksaroy residence under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The head of our state emphasized that the Supreme Interstate Council format, established in 2024, has demonstrated its relevance and effectiveness.

"Our relations have now been elevated to the highest level – that of strategic partnership and alliance," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The parties discussed in detail new areas of cooperation, ways to utilize bilateral potential, and adopted a number of decisions that will give a significant impetus to the expansion of Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan partnership.

Special attention was paid to ensuring the stable growth of mutual trade, diversifying its structure, and creating favorable conditions for business.

It was noted with satisfaction that trade turnover since the beginning of the year has reached $4 billion. The goal is to bring this figure to $10 billion by 2030.

All necessary conditions have been created for this, a significant package of trade and investment agreements has been formed, the "UzKazTrade" company has been established, and mechanisms for direct cooperation between business circles have been launched.

The leader of our country noted the major achievements in the field of industrial cooperation.

As part of the visit, the "Central Asia" International Industrial Cooperation Center will be launched, as well as a number of important projects worth $1.3 billion. Furthermore, a large-scale Industrial Cooperation Program has been prepared, encompassing projects in chemistry, geology, infrastructure, logistics, agro-industry, and many other fields, with a total value of over $8 billion.

Systematic partnership in the transport and logistics sector was noted as a priority direction. The necessity of joint work on creating new transport corridors, including the "Uchkuduk - Kyzylorda" route, and promoting cargo transportation through the ports of Aktau, Kuryk, and Khorgos was noted.

Readiness was expressed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of transportation and processing of energy resources, energy saving, introduction of "green" technologies, and information technologies.

Effective measures will be taken to further strengthen cooperation in the water-ecology sector. The parties welcomed the signing of an agreement on the joint management and use of transboundary water facilities during the visit.

The leaders noted that humanitarian ties hold a special place. It was noted with satisfaction that this year, joint cultural events were successfully held in the cities of Almaty and Astana – the "Lazgi" ballet, an artists' exhibition, a writers' forum, and a youth festival, as well as the Days of Kazakh Medicine in Uzbekistan and the Days of Astana in Tashkent.

Agreements were reached to continue exchanges between scientific and educational institutions and youth organizations, and to expand joint programs between higher education institutions.

The importance of developing joint tourism routes and promoting the historical milestones, rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was emphasized.

In addition, during the negotiations, reports were heard from Deputy Prime Ministers, and the Ministers of Energy, Transport, and Culture on the agenda.
