Two young men who stole a car in Syrdarya and stabbed an SSS officer with a knife have been detained.

The court sentenced one of them to 9.5 years, and the other to 15.6 years of deprivation of liberty.

In the Syrdarya region, two 18-year-old youths stole a Cobalt car they had boarded as passengers from the city of Samarkand and injured an IIB rapid response officer with a knife in the Buka district.

By court verdict, one of them was sentenced to 9.5 years, and the other to 15.6 years of imprisonment.

The incident occurred on the night from August 1 to August 2. While stealing the car, the youths injured the rapid response officer, Nurzbek Shodiyev, and then fled by taking another vehicle.

The court found them guilty under several articles of the Criminal Code.
