During the visit, the Head of State participated in the second World Summit on Social Development and put forward a number of important initiatives aimed at further strengthening global partnership for achieving stable and inclusive social development and improving socio-economic development.
The Head of State also held effective negotiations with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in Doha. At the Hamad International Airport, the President of Uzbekistan was seen off by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and other officials.
Afterwards, Shavkat Mirziyoyev left for Washington D.C. to participate in the summit of Central Asian countries and US leaders in the "C5+1" format at the invitation of US President Donald Trump.
According to the visit program, the Head of State will hold meetings with US President Donald Trump, members of the US Congress Senate and House of Representatives, and leaders of US ministries and agencies.
The issues of further expanding and strengthening strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and the US, primarily in trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian spheres, as well as deepening the interregional cooperation of Central Asia with the US will be considered.
Within the framework of the business program, meetings and events are planned with the participation of leaders of leading US companies and financial institutions. At the end of the events, it is planned to adopt a number of bilateral and multilateral documents.
