According to a request from Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), German law enforcement agencies conducted a search at a house belonging to Rostyslav Shurma, the former deputy head of President Volodymyr Zelensky's office. This was reported by the Spiegel publication.
It is reported that on July 15, investigative actions were carried out at a residence belonging to Shurma in the city of Starnberg, located in the federal state of Bavaria.
It should be noted that Rostyslav Shurma was dismissed from his position by Volodymyr Zelensky in September 2024. According to the Ukrainian publication Ukrainska Pravda, his dismissal was due to a conflict of interests and pressure from U.S. officials.
The Spiegel publication did not clarify how Shurma is currently living in Bavaria, Germany, at a time when Russia's war against Ukraine is still ongoing.
The reason why the 41-year-old Ukrainian politician chose Starnberg as his place of residence remains unclear for now.
