“We know Putin well, and Melania also has a positive attitude toward him. People need to find common ground,” Trump said.
He added that Melania is a very intelligent and neutral woman who influences the policies of the head of state.
Earlier, Trump noted his first lady's neutral stance on the Ukraine issue.
According to him, Melania supports putting an end to bloodshed and casualties. At the same time, some publications reported that Trump's wife may have influenced the president's decision to change his strategy regarding relations with Russia.
