Volodymyr Zelenskyy is planning to request financial assistance from the European Union to increase the salaries of Ukrainian military personnel. Bloomberg reports this, citing Zelenskyy's statement during a conversation with journalists.

“Earlier, Europeans refused to finance the salaries of our military personnel, allocating funds only for weapons. Our military personnel themselves can be the weapon that protects everyone,” Bloomberg agency quotes Zelenskyy's words.

Zelenskyy has already discussed the financial issue with Ursula von der Leyen, Mark Rutte, Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, and representatives of the United States. He emphasized that the discussion is not just about support but about investments directed toward common security.
