When asked about the prospects of the latest negotiations between Tehran and Washington regarding Iran's nuclear program, the diplomat emphasized that "only one condition must be met for this." This was reported by the Mehr news agency.
"During the dialogue, we cannot allow the Israeli regime to launch another attack and ignite the flames of war. If the United States were truly committed to negotiations and dialogue, it would not have attacked Iran," Jalali stressed.
He emphasized that Iranians "have never strayed far from the negotiating table. We remain committed to diplomacy," he concluded.
For reference, in the early morning of June 13 this year, Israel launched a military operation against Iran. Less than 24 hours later, Iran responded. Nine days later, in the early morning of June 22, the U.S. struck three of Iran's nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, entering the conflict.
