“Uzhydromet” warned of possible mudflow and flood events in the mountainous and foothill areas of the republic due to expected rainfall on July 9—11.
It is noted that in the Surkhandarya region: the districts of Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsay, Denov, Boysun, Sherobad, Shurchi, Qumqurghon, Muzrabot;
In the Tashkent region: the districts of Ohangaron, Bostanliq, Parkent, Piskent, Middle Chirchik, Upper Chirchik and the cities of Angren, Olmaliq;
In the Namangan region: the districts of Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan, Yangiqo‘rg‘on;
In the Fergana region: the districts of Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana, Beshariq;
In the Andijan region: the districts of Andijan, Asaka, Jalakuduk, Qo‘rg‘ontepa, Paxtaobod, Izboskan, Xo‘jaobod, Marhamat and the city of Khanabad, mudflows and floods may occur.
“We ask citizens living in the mountainous and foothill areas, holidaymakers, and drivers moving through mountainous areas to take precautionary measures,” the report says.
For your information, some areas of the Republic may experience accumulation of rainwater, which can lead to flooding of the areas.
