China is delivering HQ-9B ground-to-air missile systems to Iran to replace recently destroyed air defense systems. This was reported by the Zamon.uz publication.
According to information, Tehran has requested these modern systems from China. The delivery of the systems started quickly after the military conflicts ended. The number of delivered systems has not been disclosed, but according to some Arab sources, Iran is paying for this technology with oil.
China's HQ-9B system is based on Russia's famous S-300 system, and it can effectively combat aircraft and ballistic missiles. These systems are expected to strengthen Iran's air defense.
In recent weeks, it has been revealed that Egypt is also purchasing the same HQ-9B systems. This indicates a growing interest in Chinese military technologies in the region.
