The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev's state visit to Azerbaijan, filled with eventful programs, has concluded. This was reported by the President's press service. 

On July 2nd, in the city of Baku, our President had productive talks with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

The second session of the Supreme Inter-State Council took place. Issues of further strengthening Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan friendship, strategic partnership, and alliance relations, as well as prospects for expanding practical cooperation, were discussed.

Within the framework of the visit, a significant set of bilateral documents on various directions of cooperation was signed.

The leaders jointly laid the foundation of the "Uzbekistan" park in Baku city and opened the new building of the Uzbekistan Embassy, and became acquainted with the "Sea Breeze" resort's activities.

On July 3rd, accompanied by the President of Azerbaijan, the President of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the activities of a joint sewing factory in the city of Khankendi and the "Imarat" historical and architectural complex in the city of Aghdam.

Today, our country's leader participated in the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, highlighting the priority directions of partnership and putting forward a number of important initiatives.

Within the summit, bilateral meetings were held with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, and the Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

Following the completion of the visit events, our country's leader departed for Tashkent. At the Fuzuli International Airport, our President was seen off by the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Odil Karimli, and other official persons.
