On June 19, one of the passengers scheduled to fly from Tbilisi to Tashkent on the X (formerly Twitter) social network wrote about a problem related to the flight and posted a post. According to him, the plane circled over the airport for half an hour and was unable to complete its flight.

When the plane took off from the airport, there was a loud noise. We circled over the airport for 30 minutes and then landed again. Passengers also saw a fire on the wing. They said another plane would be sent from Tashkent for us”, – he said.

“According to information provided to Kun.uz by “Uzbekistan Airports” JSC, the specific flight belonged to Centrum Air airline. The editorial team contacted the marketing department of the airline for information. Representatives of the department confirmed that there was indeed a technical malfunction, but emphasized that there was no fire on the wing of the airplane.”

The C6222 flight from Tbilisi to Tashkent returned to its departure airport after receiving a system signal about a technical malfunction. The landing was carried out in the usual manner. Currently, the aircraft is undergoing technical diagnostics.

A back-up aircraft has already been dispatched to transport passengers to Tashkent. Centrum Air apologizes for the inconvenience caused and is taking all necessary measures to reduce delays and organize flights as conveniently as possible, – states the comment posted on the airline's Telegram page in the explanation.

According to the information, the C6222 Tbilisi - Tashkent flight took off at 3:00 AM Uzbekistan time and landed in the capital at 7:00 AM. The results of the technical diagnostics are not yet known. A company representative mentioned that this information might not be disclosed.
