The food service point named "Sausagehouse" located at the Railway Techniques Museum in Tashkent has caused laughter on social networks. Following public criticisms and protests, the museum administration dismantled the sign.
According to the press service of "Uzbekistan Railways", the sign was removed by the museum administration. At the same time, it was emphasized that there is no plan to stop working on transforming the museum into an attraction and family recreation area.
So far, over 500 trees and flowers have been planted, 6000 square meters of paving stones have been laid, and green areas spanning 3,5 thousand square meters have been established in the museum territory. Additionally, 20 infrastructure facilities have been re-equipped and are operating as food service and commercial points.
Four of the museum exhibits have been repaired and adapted as cafés and restaurants. For the purpose of ensuring security in the area, 22 video cameras have been installed; likewise, 7 children's attractions and a 60-meter musical fountain have been put into operation.
The number of visitors to the museum has increased several tens of times after the reconstruction carried out based on the decision of the president. Therefore, while preserving the cultural heritage, the concept of creating modern recreation opportunities continues to be adhered to.
