The issues of officially recognizing the State of Palestine and delivering unrestricted humanitarian aid were also discussed.
Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa supported Spain's position and called on the international community to increase pressure on Israel. He highlighted the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza and the West Bank and the war crimes committed.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez also described Israel's actions in Gaza as "absolutely illegal" and called on the European Union to reconsider the free trade agreement with Israel. According to his words, recognizing the State of Palestine is of geopolitical interest to Europe.
