On May 9, within the framework of events in Moscow city, a meeting took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin took place.

At the beginning of the conversation, the heads of state sincerely congratulated each other on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory.

The issues of further expansion and strengthening of the broad-based strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Russia, including the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan in the previous May, were discussed.

The importance of adopting coordinated measures aimed at maintaining the momentum of trade-economic and investment cooperation was emphasized.

Special attention was paid to accelerating the preparation and implementation of projects in priority sectors of the economy, as well as encouraging cooperation links between the regions.

The significant satisfaction with the effectiveness of humanitarian exchanges, foremost in the fields of culture, art, science, and education, was noted with great pleasure.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia also exchanged views on matters of international significance.

Following the meeting, the practical visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the city of Moscow, upon the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, concluded.

The head of our state participated in the ceremonial events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War.

After the events concluded, our President departed for Tashkent. The esteemed guest was seen off by Russian officials at the "Vnukovo" international airport.
