Indian officials announced the launch of the "Sindur" operation on the night of May 7, attacking "terrorist" infrastructure in Pakistan, as well as in the Pakistani part of Kashmir.
It is noted that the Indian army has struck nine targets in Pakistan. Their actions were "clear, measured, and not directed towards escalation." It was stated that "no Pakistani armed forces facilities were targeted" during the attack.
Following the strikes, a post titled "Justice has triumphed" was published on the Indian Army's X social media page.
The Pakistani army stated that the strikes targeted civilian areas, not terrorists. The country closed its airspace for 48 hours. At least 8 people were killed and 35 injured as a result of the Indian attack.
