A man who beat an elderly man in the Yaz'yavan district of the Fergana region paid a fine of 17 million soums.
It is reported that in the Yaz'yavan district, a 46-year-old man A.V. was fined 17 million soums by the court for beating a 77-year-old elder A.A. in a public place and inflicting bodily harm.
Both individuals are relatives, and A.V. encountered the elderly man in a drunken state in the market area. During the conversation, he asks A.A. "Did you send your wife alone for Umrah pilgrimage?" This question angered A.V. and caused him to beat the old man.
According to the court decision, A.V. was fined 17 million soums. State bailiffs conducted extensive explanatory work with A.V. regarding the enforcement document received by the Yazyavan District Department of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement. A.V. initially refused to pay the fine and said that he bought medicine for the elderly man.
However, as a result of the decisive actions of the state executors, A.V. paid the fine in full on April 24, 2025, and the enforcement document was actually completed.
