A shocking crime was uncovered in the state of Connecticut, USA. A 32-year-old man was held captive in his home by his stepmother since the age of 11. This was reported by zamon.uz here.

The victim, who had been subjected to years of violence and humiliation, was found by police officers following a fire at the home.

According to the investigation, the victim had endured nearly twelve years of physical and emotional suffering, regularly facing starvation and medical neglect. He admitted to intentionally starting the fire in an attempt to escape.

Police have arrested 56-year-old Kimberly Sullivan on charges of kidnapping and torture. The victim is currently undergoing a rehabilitation process. Experts say it will be difficult to recover the 20 years he lost.
