Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso commented on the possibility of forward Kylian Mbappé playing in the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona. This was reported by the press service of the Madrid club.
According to the specialist, there is a possibility the French star will participate in "El Clásico".
"Mbappé will join the team soon. We will assess his readiness to play together with the medical staff. His condition has improved significantly, he has participated in training and is feeling good. His chances of playing are no less than those of other players," said Alonso at the post-match press conference.
For reference, Kylian Mbappé missed the Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Atlético due to injury. In that match, Real Madrid secured a 2:1 victory thanks to goals from Federico Valverde and Rodrigo, advancing to the final. In the decisive match, the "Whites" will face their rival Barcelona.
