Nigeria: Armed attack in the north: dozens of casualties and kidnappings

At least 30 people were killed as a result of an organized armed attack on the village of Kasuwan-Daji in northern Nigeria.

Armed individuals who stormed into the village of Kwasuwandaji, located in the Borgu local government area of Niger State, opened fire on the population.

During the attack, a local market and several houses were destroyed. According to officials, the number of casualties is at least 30, but local residents indicate that the number of victims could be higher.

According to witnesses, several people disappeared without a trace on Sunday; among those abducted are also children. There are also complaints that security forces arrived in the area late.

A representative of the local Catholic church reported that the attack lasted about three hours and that the number of victims exceeded 40.
