According to teachers' claims, school principal Rukhsora Saidova has been assigning them mainly to landscaping and repair work since July. "Instead of preparing for lessons, we spend the whole day mowing grass in the yard.
If we don’t take photos of ourselves mowing and post them in the school’s Telegram group, we’ll be deducted from our salaries," says one of the teachers.
They say that their July salaries were not transferred to their plastic cards as usual but were distributed in cash by the principal.
Teachers who did not show up for forced labor or disagreed with the principal did not receive their salaries. "This system is harming the quality of education. We fear our school may be blacklisted again before the new academic year," say the teachers.
Education sector employees are demanding an inspection of the school administration, principal, and accounting activities by the regional education department and relevant audit bodies.
However, no official information has been released regarding the situation yet.
