Relatives of migrants convicted of committing serious crimes should be deported from Russia, the relevant draft law has already been submitted to the State Duma. This was reported by the publication “360.ru”.

It was stated that the document prohibits the entry into Russia of foreigners who have committed serious crimes either within the country or abroad. This will apply regardless of whether the migrant's conviction is expunged or overturned, added the chairman of the A Just Russia — For Truth party. The initiative is expected to help reduce the number of offenders.

«Unfortunately, the criminal past of those arriving from Central Asian countries remains a sealed secret for our law enforcement agencies. No one knows for sure what migrants were involved in before coming to Russia or what kind of mark they left in their homeland,»— says Mironov.

Mironov also proposed deporting family clans from the country. However, he did not clarify whether the relevant draft law has been submitted for consideration by the lower house of parliament.
