According to Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, NATO is considering the possibility of deploying the Germany-Netherlands joint corps in the western city of Pärnu.

This area is logistically convenient: it has a nearby port, railway, airfield, and highway. Infrastructure construction is planned with an allocated budget of 17 million euros.

Pevkur described this step as "of strategic importance" for Estonia's defense capability.

Meanwhile, in Lithuania, a permanent brigade of the German army has already been stationed and will be fully combat-ready by the end of 2027.
