Despite threats voiced by U.S. President Donald Trump, Putin maintains an uncompromising stance, taking into account Russia's economic and military resilience to withstand Western sanctions and pressure.
“Putin believes that the West, particularly the U.S., has not yet approached negotiations over Ukraine seriously. Therefore, he is determined to continue combat operations until his political and military objectives are achieved,” says one of the sources.
